Did you know that you can SHOP and earn money for TAG?

We have joined the DICK BLICK Affiliate program, which means that you can "enter" the DICK BLICK website by clicking right on the BLICK SHOP NOW button below. A  percentage of the money you spend comes back to the Topeka Art Guild, at no extra cost to you.

Members of the Thursday Open Studio group often order from BLICK's, so if you are interested, please contact Lila Bartel. Ordering together is easy and fun... and now it benefits TAG, too!

The "button" on the left takes you to the BLICK website.

(In your address bar, you will see a long string of text, which includes the word "affiliate." )

Cynthia's FUNDraiser Birthday Party was a BIG success!

More details coming soon!

FUNDRAISER *** FUNDRAISER *** FUNDRAISER *** FUNDRAISER

Now available at the Topeka Art Gallery: these beautiful bowls, hand-thrown by artist Leanne Kilmer.

Originally, these bowls were made for a Fundraiser Soup Supper. Then..... Covid....

Drop by the gallery and purchase a set of four before they all disappear! (You can also buy just one, but look how lovely they are!!!)

It was a normal Thursday gathering at the Topeka Art Gallery. (Open Studio runs from 1:00 - 4:00 every week.) Some TAG members  drop in now and then. Others are at TAG more often.

It's a little social event each time. But this week.... members who were present got a sneak peek and a marvelous opportunity to purchase these lovely bowls.

The fundraising committee had happened the night before. Boxes of lovely ceramic bowls, donated by Leanne Kilmer for a fundraising soup supper that never happened were going to be offered for sale during the upcoming Fairlawn Plaza Sidewalk sale.

Artists, Money-Management, and TAG.... Oh! My!

I don't want to talk about the full story of the "Soup Supper That Never Happened." As a relative newcomer to TAG, I don't know the whole story.

Decisions were made.

Miscommunication. Misunderstandings. Hurt Feelings. General Strife. COVID.

It might have been a wonderful social event, with much-needed funds for the coffers.... but it didn't happen.

The Topeka Art Guild supports and promotes the visual arts and art education through public programs and exhibitions of original work.
