Call for Art: Holiday Gift Shop

Small handmade gifts under $20

Think small! Alongside our Wrap Up Originality holiday show, the Topeka Art Guild is opening a holiday gift shop full of little handmade treasures from local artists: stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, ornaments and the small surprises people love to give.

Every gift bought here supports a local maker and keeps money in our community. There's no fee to participate. Members Only Join today 

The gift shop

• Where: Topeka Art Guild & Gallery, Fairlawn Plaza Mall, Topeka
• When: November 1 – December 27, 2026
• Ornament tree: We'll have a tree set up just for handmade ornaments, so bring yours!

What we're looking for

• Small gifts: bring up to 5 items, each priced under $20
• Handmade by you: not mass-produced or resold
• Ideas: ornaments, cards, magnets, bookmarks, small prints, mini paintings, jewelry, keychains, coasters, candles, soaps, small ceramics, fiber and textile items, and anything else small and giftable
• Ready to sell: finished, priced and labeled. Ornaments should have a hanger attached.

Sell out? Bring more!

If all 5 of your items sell, we'll contact you so you can restock the shop.

Fees and commission

• No entry or hanging fee
• Regular Guild commission applies:

• The Guild handles all sales, card processing and display.

How to apply

Apply online through the Topeka Art Guild website

. You'll need:

1. A short description of your items and medium
2. What you're bringing (up to 5 items) and their prices
3. Whether you'll volunteer gallery hours we are extending hours to get the most out of the holiday season we could use your support.

5. Shopper ready Work is checked at drop-off. 

Terms of participation

By submitting items to the Holiday Gift Shop, artists agree to the following:

• Liability: The Topeka Art Guild will take reasonable care with all items, but is not responsible for loss, damage or theft while items are in transit, on display or in storage.
• Image use: Artists authorize the Guild to photograph their items and use those images, along with the artist's name, in promotional materials, including social media, the Guild website, print and press.
• Original work: Artists confirm the items are their own original, handmade work. Artists keep all copyright to their work.
• Sales: Prices are set at drop-off and may not be changed during the show. The Guild handles sales tax on all sales.
• Payment: Artists will be paid for sold items, minus commission. 
• Unclaimed items: Items not picked up on December 27 must be collected within 30 days. After that, they may be considered donated to the Guild.
