In this course we will cover:
    1.  discussing the various software options that are available.
    2. What can you do with photoshop and similar software.  Photoshop is a powerful toolset, whether you’re a professional or just having fun with creativity. Software like Photoshop and other image-editing programs are incredibly versatile. Here are some ways the software is used for:
      1. Photo Editing & Retouching: Fixing blemishes, adjusting lighting, and enhancing colors to make photos look flawless.
      2. Graphic Design: Creating everything from logos to social media graphics and marketing materials.
      3. Digital Art & Illustration: Drawing and painting digitally with layers, brushes, and advanced techniques.
      4. Composite & Manipulation: Combining multiple images to create surreal or realistic compositions.
      5. Restoration & Colorization: Bringing old, damaged photos back to life and even adding color to black-and-white images.
      6. 3D Design & Texturing: Some programs allow for 3D modeling and texturing to create realistic effects.
      7. Video Editing & Animation: While not their primary use, some software supports video editing and motion graphics.
      8. Web & UI Design: Creating website mockups, app interfaces, and other digital layouts.
      9. Print & Publishing: Designing flyers, brochures, book covers, and anything meant for physical print.
    3. We will talk about the various elements that you will find in this type of software like layers, brushes, selection tools, Fonts, Dodge and burn tools, filters, shapes, transformation tools, etc.  You will find that there are similarities across the various platforms.
    4. We will run through the following exercises:
      1. Enhancing/editing Photos.
      2. Creative Designs using Fonts and Words.
      3.  Using Filters
      4.  Taking an image of a drawing, bringing it into photoshop (or other software), Cleaning it up, using color, gradients, filters and other tools to create a digital design.
      5.  We will create a digital "collage"
      6. We will have an exercise that covers the topics of Print & Publishing.
    5.  This class will not include 3-d design or animation.  These are topics for a more advanced class.  But we will briefly discuss what is possible in those areas.  Web & UI Design will be briefly discussed but would be better for a more advanced topic than what this class will focus on.  AI will be briefly mentioned, but will not be a focus topic.

A web site is truly a WEB. In many ways, that is good: information appears in many places, and everything is linked. But it can also be a bit confusing. A webmaster can only do what the Wild Apricot system allows her to do. After many months, I've come up with a system that makes sense to me, but it can be confusing to others.

Think of the website as an outline,  with pages at different levels. HOME page is level one. Classes are listed on the home pages, but there is not room for all of the details. So the next level is the links you see along the menu bar:
About Featured Events Members Newsletter

Level three is Classes. (This page!)

Level four is each individual class page.

The automated listing above means that I only have to put details in three places instead of four! (the three places are Home page, the class page, and the CALENDAR.)
