Cally Krallman will be teaching a one-day workshop focusing on techniques and fundamentals of painting the landscape in acrylics. Krallman, known for her rich depiction of the Flint Hills and Kansas, has been painting with acrylics for nearly 30 years and has found materials that make the painting process easier. In the workshop she will be going over basic concepts of composition, color and value basics, design and line in the landscape.
She will be providing 2 canvases for each student.
Supplies YOU need to bring:
Sealable palette with palette paper / Squirt bottle / Assorted hog bristle brushes and synthetic brushes / palette knife / water rinse container (like a plastic coffee container) / pencil / reference photos / vinyl gloves (optional) Canvas is provided!
Preferred Heavy body acrylic paint (NOT student grade) colors: Titanium White, Cad. Yellow Light, Yellow Ochre, Cad. Orange, Cad. Red Light, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Dioxazine Purple or Permanent Violet, Chromium Green, Burnt Umber. Cally will be bringing a few other colors to share and experiment with.
All skill levels are welcome.
Workshop Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a 45 minute lunch break.
Class size limited to 10 participants.
