If you have ever wanted to try watercolor, but you've been hesitant because you've heard that it is a difficult medium, this is your chance to explore painting with water.
Explore techniques that will help you express yourself with the beauty of watercolor, using flowers as our subject. Learn not only some basic techniques, but several watercolor 'hacks' you can use in your works. The day should be fun and informative, regardless of your skill level.
Bob, an accomplished Tennessee artist, has widely exhibited and received several awards. His watercolors are in homes nationwide and internationally. His subjects are varied, but his floral paintings have intentional color and composition encouraging viewers to explore his paintings. Plus, he’s offering as a fund-raiser! We are blessed!
Learn to paint landscapes with realistic techniques.
Learn how to use colors for the light and shadow areas.
Please bring some landscape photos taken in a sunny day so there’s good light and dark contrast.
You can also use iPad or laptop from which to paint.
Diane Lawrence, silk painter extrodinaire, will provide a unique one-day workshop will use experimental approaches and unconventional applications of different resists in Silk Painting. The intense colors of the dyes will awaken your creative spirit in landscape painting.
